This beach themed frame was made using three real sand dollars that i found along the Oregon Coast and a frame that I rescued from a second hand store. The frame had a brown stain on it and was pretty beat up. But it was solid wood and I felt I could give it new life. So, I sanded the old stain off and added a saw tooth hanger first. Then I hand painted it using sea blue and green paint. When that was dry, I painted the glass (which would normally cover a photo) of the frame. Next, I added 3 beautiful real sand dollars that I found at the beach in Oregon. The final step was to seal the frame with water sealer. This frame would be beautiful displayed in any beach themed area of your home.
