This large driftwood floor sculpture was handmade from a beautiful, natural piece of driftwood that I found along the Oregon Coastline. The colors are shades earthy browns and are natural to the wood. To make it I first had to clean it and allow it to dry in the sun naturally. Next, I sanded some areas to bring out the wonderful grain and texture to this piece and attached to a wood base that I have painted black. I also sealed the sculpture with a weather sealer for added protection and to bring out the awesome color of this piece. This sculpture measures approximately 34 x 12 x 7 inches. The perfect size to fit comfortably in a dark lonely corner and add a little character to it. Sculptures like these are also a great way to add natural elements to your space.
It was an amazing find as it was when I found it, so I decided to only clean it and make it a show piece. Adding a natural wood sculpture like this a simple way to add natural elements to your home while still making a beautiful visual statement.
